Linlithgow and District Pipe Band - Thanks

Linlithgow and District Pipe Band spend on average £18,000 - £20,000 per year just to maintain the band and keep it performing.  This includes uniform, buses to contests, hire of practice halls and piping and drumming sundries, from time to time we have one off large investments also like 2006 where we’ve spent over £7500 on new uniform.

Many of the top bands in the world manage this via corporate sponsorship, unfortunately, we’re not so lucky in having a sponsor to help out with these running costs.  Therefore all the money that the band brings in and raises is purely through the hard work and dedication of the players and committee. No player gets paid to play for the band, they travel at their own expense and every penny stays within the band.  Every player also pays monthly band dues.

Whilst we have no official sponsorship we would like to thank the following companies who for 2006 have made our task of running the band and focusing on the playing rather than the money it costs a little easier:-
